The ACO Self grid hook is suitable for all ACO Self grids. You can access the drain channels by simply lifting the grids.

Push the grid hook through the middle of the grid - if possible, very close to the locking point. Turn the grid hook to create resistance. Pull upwards with force until the grid separates. Now, use your hands to pull the grid further upwards. Grids that are not older than 30 years have screwless locking mechanisms, which means there is no need to unscrew any screws beforehand. If your grids still have visible screw fixings, first release them and then pull up the end of the grid. Then gradually release all the bars. After that, you can clean the channel body or replace the grid.
