Bauroc facade panels

BAUROC roof panels are reinforced gas concrete products used for covering floors and roofs, providing high-quality sound and thermal insulation, as well as fire-resistant coverings. Now it is possible to build houses in Latvia using only stone materials (AEROC gas concrete). A new product has been added to the existing range of BAUROC materials - roof panels.

BAUROC roof panels are manufactured with a width of 600 mm and a height of 250 mm, with a certain length, the maximum allowable size of which is 6m. The length of the panels is determined by the dimensions used for panel production. The table lists the standard panel sizes.

The panels are designed for single span. When incorporating reinforcement, a certain load-bearing capacity is assumed as the base. AEROC panels comply with the requirements of the EVS-EN 12602:2008 standard.

The load-bearing capacity of the roof panels is 4 kN/m². This is a uniformly distributed load that is permissible in addition to the panel's own weight.

There are anchor sockets at the ends of the roof panels, which provide the intended load-bearing capacity, so they should not be cut (sawn) shorter. Ventilation and plumbing outlets should be provided in the joint between the panels. 100 mm from the edge of the panel, there is a strip where drilling holes for installation through the roof is allowed. Creating large-sized holes in the panels is prohibited without coordination with the manufacturer.

The minimum allowable support for AEROC roof panels on masonry walls is 90 mm, with the exception being if the panels are supported on metal beams, then the minimum support is 75 mm. When designing the support area for the panels, the load size and the technical properties of the materials should be taken into account. It is more reasonable to provide a larger support surface when supporting the panels on exterior walls.

AEROC roof panels have two different grooves along the edges in the longitudinal direction; one edge has a tongue, while the other has a groove (see drawing). When installing the panels, make sure that the tongue of one panel matches the groove of the other panel. After the panels are installed, reinforcement is incorporated into the joints and filled with mortar. The parameter of the panels and the monolithic connection of the joints ensure the functioning of AEROC panels as a single-span and rigid roof structure. The diameter of the reinforcement is determined by the designer and indicated in the drawing. It is also easy to incorporate utilities at the joints of the panels.
