Antique style modern interpretation

Alpina Antique Effect highlights architectural details using a surface "cracking" effect. This lacquer shrinks during drying, creating visible cracks on the surface, giving it a texture reminiscent of old paintings.

This decorative lacquer does not contain pigments and does not emit odor. By using it, you can create individual artistic vintage accents or cover entire surfaces with it. Use Alpina Antique Effect in combination with tinted dispersion or acrylic paints to create various interior designs. Depending on the application and desired result, you can use Alpina Antique Effect together with other Alpina products, such as Aqua Buntlack, Aqua Weisslack, or interior wall paints Die Edle für Innen and Die Samtene für Innen.

Processing

Prepare the base as desired - white, tinted, smooth, or textured. Apply Alpina Antique Effect on a previously coated, dry base. The thicker the layer, the more pronounced the cracking effect. After complete drying, apply the next layer - a dispersion paint layer intended for the cracking effect. The cracking effect starts after approximately 1 minute. To increase durability, it is recommended to apply a water-based varnish on the surface after drying. Do not apply if the air temperature is below +5°C. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
