Metrotile is a lightweight (6.3 kg/m2) roof profile that suits any architectural style. The base of the tile is a 0.45mm thick sheet of steel coated with an alloy of aluminum and zinc, which gives the tiles shape, strength, and flexibility. The sheet is bonded to a painted basalt chip with colored acrylic adhesive, which gives a unique appearance and reduces the noise caused by precipitation. The chip is covered with a transparent acrylic layer that protects the tiles from UV radiation.
