• Each skin tone requires a specific energy level. Darker skin tones absorb more energy, which can cause discomfort.
• Braun Silk-expert IPL is the only technology with the intelligent SensoAdapt™ skin tone sensor that continuously reads skin tone (up to 80 times per second) before each flash and automatically optimizes light intensity based on skin color. User-friendly treatment modes

• Normal mode recommended for legs, arms, chest, and back.
• Gentle mode is ideal for first-time users or treating sensitive areas such as the face and bikini area. In this mode, the technology adjusts to different skin tones as quickly and accurately as in normal mode, but with a lower energy level.
• Glide mode: allows for quick and efficient treatment of large areas (such as legs, arms, chest, and back). Press and hold the treatment button and slowly glide the device from bottom to top over the treatment area.
• Precision mode: recommended for treating sensitive or hard-to-reach areas such as knees, thighs, ankles, bikini area, or underarms, as well as the female face. To perform the treatment, press and immediately release the treatment button. The device will emit a flash. Lift the device off the skin and place it on the next adjacent treatment area.

Body and face use

• Braun Silk-expert IPL is designed with a 3cm2 treatment window and an integrated skin contact sensor to ensure the generation of light pulses only when in close contact with the skin. The window must be in full contact with the skin for the device to function properly. If there is not full contact with the skin, a red light will appear.
• Additional precision head for smaller body areas and face.
• Braun Silk-expert IPL is not suitable for everyone. It is most effective on light to medium skin tones with natural blond to dark brown/black hair. The device is not effective on very blond, red, or gray hair, as the low amount of melanin in them will not be able to absorb the light energy.
