Vivacolor Dust Blocker Deep Base

Transparent, ready-to-use product for dust binding on mineral surfaces. Dust Blocker penetrates well into the surface pores. Dust Blocker penetrates well into the surface pores. Contains a minimal amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Prevents dust formation. Strengthens the surface. Does not change the original tone of the surface.

Application conditions: The surface must be clean and dry, air temperature should be between +5 °C and +23 °C, and air relative humidity should be below 80%. Avoid drafts and high temperatures during application.

Drying time (23°C, air relative humidity 50%): 

Can be touched after 1 hour. Can be recoated after 24 hours.

Surface preparation

The surface must be dry and hardened. The drying and hardening time of plastered and concrete surfaces depends on the composition of the material used and the thickness of the applied layer. Clean the surface from dust, dirt, salts, and loose material. If salts form excessively on the surface, the surface should not be treated until the cause of salt formation is eliminated. To improve adhesion and remove the cement glue layer from the concrete, the glossy, lacquer-like layer that forms on the concrete surface should be treated with sandblasting or a steel brush before applying the dust binding agent.

Application

Thoroughly mix the product before application. Apply undiluted dust binding agent to the surface. The product is applied sufficiently if it has penetrated into the surface and does not create a glossy, lacquer-like layer. Repainting: Repainting of a surface treated with Dust Blocker can be done with the same product. Recoating can be done if necessary. Any further treatment can be done the next day.
