ELBI ERCE expansion vessels for heating

Expansion vessels for heating systems from an Italian manufacturer, series ERCE. Air pressure 1.5 bar. Maximum working pressure 8 bar. Available in volumes from 35L - 500L. Color - red.

Do not exceed the maximum working pressure and temperature of the expansion vessel; ensure the system is equipped with appropriate control to prevent exceeding these parameters. Provide a suitable drainage system that prevents extensive damage in case of cracks and water leakage from the expansion vessel.

Before installation, determine the main parameters of the system. Qualified personnel should regularly check this system. The manufacturer is not responsible for any losses resulting from incorrect installation. If the maximum working pressure and temperature of the expansion vessel are exceeded, the manufacturer has the right to refuse warranty claims. If different fluids are used in the system, check their compatibility. The installation site must be protected from unauthorized personnel - only authorized personnel are allowed in this area. The equipment must be equipped with appropriate grounding or isolated from the heating system with a dielectric connection.

If the hydrophore is installed in an existing system, make sure the pump control panel is disconnected from the power supply and the system is completely drained or the water supply is shut off. If a simple expansion tank (without a membrane) is installed in the existing system, turn off the air supply devices, level indicators, etc. Remove the tank from the packaging, remove the protective cap (fig. 4, no. 6) from the air valve. Check the existing pressure and make sure it is slightly lower than the pressure at which the pressure switch operates. If necessary, adjust the pressure in the tank. Once done, screw the protective cap back on. Install the tank as close as possible to the pressure switch to minimize pressure losses. Figures 1, 2, and 3 show examples of tank installation. Connect the tank to the main water supply or the pump outlet, following all installation rules. It is recommended to install a safety valve and adjust it according to the maximum working pressure of the system. Connect the power supply to the pump control panel only after the tank installation is complete. Turn on the pump and fill the system with water until the pressure switch operates and the pump is turned off. To vent the system, repeatedly open and close the faucet furthest from the tank. Open one or more faucets to empty the tank. If a pause is detected between emptying the tank and turning on the pump, either slightly increase the pressure switch activation pressure or reduce the air pressure in the pressure vessel (see point 3). Repeat steps 8, 9, and 10 until this pause is eliminated. Check all connections and make sure there are no water leaks. The system is ready for use if all the above points have been successfully completed. Regularly check the existing pressure in the tank during its operation and fill it with air if necessary. When performing maintenance, first turn off all electrical equipment related to the system and check that the pressure and temperature in the system are not hazardous to health. Qualified personnel should inspect all heating system components at least once a year. The manufacturer has already pumped air into the expansion tank. Changes in air pressure in the expansion vessel should only be made by a certified plumber. The newly set pressure should be recorded on the expansion vessel.
