Surface preparation

Unpainted surfaces: Clean the surface from dust and dirt. Prime the wooden surface with Tikkurila Multistop isolation primer in 1-2 coats (depending on the condition of the wood). Using Multistop primer helps prevent color changes and other substances that cause yellowing, such as resin, from penetrating the paint. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for using the primer. Previously painted or varnished surfaces: Clean the surface from old, peeling paint or varnish, dirt, and dust. Wash greasy and dirty surfaces with Special Clean detergent, allow to dry. Sand glossy, old painted or varnished surfaces to a matte finish, remove dust. Treat cracks and uneven surfaces with Vivacolor Snickeri putty knife. Sand the surface and remove sanding dust.

Application

Thoroughly mix the Floor paint before painting. To achieve a uniform coverage and avoid color variations, mix the required amount of paint in one container. Apply 1-2 coats with a brush or short-nap roller. CAUTION! The paint dries quickly, so plan the painting work in advance to avoid overlapping of the paint. Apply the paint in the direction of the boards, treating multiple boards at a time. Perform touch-up painting when the paint has dried.
