Vivacolor Hansa Base Paint for Exterior Works

Vivacolor paint for exterior Hansa Sokkel - Water-based paint for plinths. Suitable for new and previously painted concrete or plastered plinths and concrete surfaces of residential, commercial, industrial or warehouse buildings. Also suitable for mineral fiber boards and galvanized or light metal surfaces (e.g., water drains, tin gutters, etc.). Not suitable for painting roofs. Consumption: 4-8 m2/l - concrete and plastered surfaces, 6-10 m2/l - mineral fiber board surfaces, 8-10 m2/l - galvanized metal surfaces. Paint consumption depends on the roughness of the surface and the application method.

Tinting: The paint can be used as white (Base A) or tinted according to Tikkurila Facade color charts (Base A and C).

Application methods: Application with a brush, roller or high-pressure sprayer. The nozzle of the high-pressure sprayer should be 0.018" - 0.023" or 0.460 - 0.580 mm.

Drying time: (+23 °C, relative air humidity 50%) 1 hour - no dust adhesion, 2 hours - can apply the next coat.

Storage time: In tightly closed, original manufacturer's packaging - 2 years from the production date (see on the package).

The surface must be clean and dry, air temperature from +5 °C to +28 °C, and air relative humidity below 80%. During painting, avoid high temperatures and direct sunlight.

Before use, thoroughly mix the Hansa Sokkel paint, dilute the paint for the first coat with water up to 5% by volume. To achieve a uniform surface tone, mix the necessary amount of tinted paint in one container before painting. Paint in 1 or 2 coats with a roller, brush, or sprayer. Attention! Surfaces that are not intended to be painted (windows, metal surfaces, plants, etc.) should be covered before painting.

The surface can be cleaned no earlier than 1 month after painting. The most suitable cleaning method is washing with a water jet. Note that the surface tone may change as a result of wet cleaning, so the cleaning area should be delimited. Before washing, remove loose particles and dirt. Use Tikkurila Homeenpoisto for removing mold or algae and rinse thoroughly. After removing mold, always repaint the surface.
