Diffusion membranes combine the properties of multiple films. They protect thermal insulation and wooden structures from water as a waterproofing and at the same time protect thermal insulation from heat loss due to wind action (blowouts). Like windproof insulation, they must have high water vapor permeability, which ensures easy moisture escape from roof structures.

It is laid tightly against the thermal insulation. If laid horizontally, create 10-15 cm overlaps. Overlap areas must be sealed with frost and moisture resistant adhesive tapes (such as Tyvek Tape or Gerband Outside DM Tape (386)). Ventilation gaps are created above the film.
