Hunton Windproof bitumen-impregnated windproof insulation wood fiber board

The material absorbs moisture and does not promote condensation. After the installation of HUNTON windproof insulation boards according to the installation instructions, they can remain unprotected on the facade, exposed to atmospheric precipitation for up to 6 months. HUNTON bitumen-impregnated boards are made of natural wood fibers with a density of +/- 235 kg/m3. The outer surface of the boards is covered with an impregnated coating. The windproof insulation board provides thermal resistance to structures, prevents wind penetration, reduces temperature fluctuations indoors, and provides sound insulation.

To ensure moisture exchange, a 20-50 mm air gap must be left between the board and the facade cladding material. The facade cladding battens should be installed vertically to allow for vertical air movement between the facade cladding material and the external wind protection board. Free air inlet and outlet must be provided.

The external cladding of the building can be made of decorative bricks, cladding boards, fiber cement boards, etc.

The facade cladding can be done within 6 months after the installation of HUNTON windproof insulation boards.
