Isover Vario rubber sealing tape, black

Rubber membrane is part of the Isover vapor insulation system, which, together with other products, provides vapor, sound and moisture insulation in various constructions. Isover Vario rubber membrane is made of black EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber with a porous structure, which provides excellent sealing properties with very high durability. The normal operating temperature range is from -40º C to +-40º C. Since the membranes are made of foam rubber, they also provide good thermal insulation and prevent the formation of cold bridges.

InstallationThe rubber membrane is rolled out freely on a clean concrete surface. Before applying the membrane, excess mortar, wood chips and other debris must be removed from the substrate. The surface must be clean. The membrane is cut to the required dimensions. It is important that the sealing strips of the membrane are laid on the rough side, for example, on concrete foundations. In the overlap areas, the strips of the membrane are connected by overlapping one with the other and bonding with Isover Vario MultiTape adhesive tape. It is important to ensure that the joint areas are tightly sealed without gaps. Carefully trim the sealing strip from the membrane at the contact points and connect it to the other section of the membrane.
