Isover Vario Bond Single-sided adhesive tape

ISOVER Vario® Bond is the first product of the ISOVER Vario® system that is suitable for sealing. The tape can be used together with vapor barrier films and other components of the ISOVER Vario® system, as well as separately. The revolutionary ISOVER Vario® Bond provides additional protection against heat loss, restricts unwanted air movement, protects the structure from moisture, and saves energy, surpassing both existing and future building regulations. ISOVER Vario® Bond has variable water vapor resistance (sd = 0.3-20 m) and very high resistance to wind and precipitation.

Innovative, multifunctional, one-sided adhesive tape for airtight and moisture-proof connections of various building elements and materials in indoor and outdoor works. Provides a hermetic surface suitable for spackling and sealing for window and door frame attachments (inside and outside), as well as for wall/ceiling and wall/floor perimeters. Excellent adhesion to various building material surfaces - vapor barrier films, wood, plywood, construction blocks, coverings, PVC, metal, mounting foams, spackles, and plasters. With a split backing paper strip for easy and precise installation.

ISOVER Vario® Bond tape is available in 2 widths, which should be chosen according to the width of the connection. The 100 mm wide tape has a split backing paper divided into 2 strips: upper 15 mm and lower 85 mm. The 150 mm wide tape has a split backing paper divided into 3 strips: upper 15 mm, middle 100 mm, and lower 35 mm.
The surface to be bonded must be dry and free from substances that weaken adhesion: debris, dust, and oils. The substrate and air temperature during installation must be above +5°C. If necessary, for improving adhesion on concrete floors, an elastic acrylic sealant ISOVER Vario® DoubleFit can be used as a primer.
ISOVER Vario® Bond installation always starts with bonding the upper 15 mm strip. Then the wider 85 mm or 100 mm strip is bonded. If a 150 mm wide tape is being installed, the lower 35 mm strip is bonded at the end. Everything is smoothed with a bonding roller. Gradual bonding in strips allows avoiding air bubbles and other bonding defects. For window reveals and other structures with internal corners, the corners should be insulated with small tape pieces first, and then the rest of the connections can be bonded. There should be a 15 mm overlap at the joints between tapes and vapor barrier films.
ISOVER Vario® Bond can be covered with gypsum or cement-lime leveling compounds immediately after tape installation.

Store in a dry place at room temperature. Shelf life in unopened packaging - 12 months.
