Kiilto Fibergum is a ready-to-use, fiber-reinforced single-component waterproofing membrane designed for use under wall and floor tiles in bathrooms, saunas, and similar wet areas. It is not suitable for areas that are constantly submerged in water (such as swimming pools) or areas exposed to temperatures above 60 °C (such as sauna steam room walls). The substrate must be dry, absorbent, free of dust, and smooth. Any materials that could reduce adhesion, such as cement milk, should be removed. Underfloor heating systems should be installed in concrete or a leveling compound layer beneath the waterproofing membrane, rather than in direct contact with the membrane. Kiilto Fibergum has been tested and approved for compatibility with the most common types of floor coverings.
