Details

Fireplace bricks or full facing bricks are intended for the construction of the chimney top part, as well as for the finishing of flues and fireplaces. They are particularly durable and suitable for direct exposure to the elements such as snow, cold, and rain.

The full facing brick "Janka" with dimensions 250x85x65 is intended only for the finishing of flues and fireplaces!

Bricks are sold in full pallets!

Important!

  • Full facing bricks are not suitable for stoves and other places where there is direct contact with an open flame!
  • Trust professionals with the construction of flues and fireplaces!
  • Before use, a new fireplace must be properly dried (6 - 8 weeks). Gradually start heating the stove over a period of 1 - 2 weeks.

It is necessary to use mortar mixtures for the construction of flues, such as cement/lime/sand or cement/clay/sand mixtures. In these cases, the thickness of the mortar joints is 10 - 12 mm. In single-story buildings, it is allowed to use clay/sand mortar for the construction of flues.

In cases where heating devices with a high efficiency coefficient are connected to the flues, i.e., the outlet temperature from the heating devices does not exceed +40°C, these flues should be lined with a stainless steel liner of appropriate diameter with condensate collection and drainage capabilities. Experience shows that failing to meet this condition significantly reduces the service life of the flue. In other cases, it is important to ensure that the mortar joints of the flue flue and vertical ventilation channels are completely filled with mortar and that the inner wall surfaces are vertical and smooth. This reduces the possibility of condensation and the accumulation of soot in the flue, as well as the possibility of ignition in the case of moist wood fuel.

The chimney head (the part of the flue above the roof structure, which is directly exposed to the elements) should be constructed using full ceramic facing bricks and cement/sand mortar with a joint thickness of 10 - 12 mm.
