Full construction bricks or stove bricks are used for building the underground part of the chimney. Full construction bricks have high strength and are used for wall construction. Full finishing and construction bricks are not suitable for stoves and other places where there is contact with an open flame! Trust professionals for chimney and stove construction! A new stove should be properly dried before use (6 - 8 weeks). Gradually start heating the stove over a period of 1 - 2 weeks.

How to create a lintel for windows and doors with bricks?

Lintels can be divided into three main types. The first type is a lintel with a row pattern. It can be created as a continuous continuation of the wall or with separate vertically oriented rows of bricks without visible row reinforcements. The second type is a wedge-shaped lintel. The third type is an arch-shaped lintel. In both cases, bricks with rectangular cuts can be used, and the wedge or arch shape of the lintel is achieved by the thickness difference of the vertical mortar joints between the lower (min. 5 mm) and upper (max. 25 mm) parts of the lintel. In cases where the joint thickness exceeds the standard thicknesses, special wedge-shaped bricks should be used (see Products - Shaped bricks). Both wedge-shaped and arch-shaped lintels should have an odd number of bricks - an equal number of bricks on both sides of the lintel, counting from the collector brick.
