These brushes have synthetic bristles, a simple wooden handle, and are suitable for both water-based and oil-based paints. The Basic Pro series brushes have plain birch wood handles. All Pro series brushes, from Basic Pro to Platinum Pro, have a stainless steel ferrule. The bristles used in the Basic Pro series brushes are always dyed in violet color.
