The Milwaukee® developed and manufactured brushless POWERSTATE™ motor provides faster cutting, longer tool life, and up to 32 m of cutting in a 19 mm thick OSB board (using a 5.0 Ah battery). The REDLINK PLUS™ intelligent system provides progressive digital overload protection for both the tool and the battery, and uniquely enhances tool performance under load conditions. The REDLITHIUM-ION™ battery is equipped with excellent construction and electronics, providing consistent performance and longer runtime for more work done. The Milwaukee® patented FIXTEC blade clamp allows for quick and easy blade changes. The keyless bevel adjustment provides adaptation from 0 - 45°. The five-level orbital action provides greater cutting performance.

The dust blower maintains a clean cutting line from wood dust. Built-in LED illuminates the work area. The detachable non-scratch sliding base prevents marks or scratches when cutting materials with delicate surfaces. Flexible battery system: compatible with all Milwaukee® M18™ batteries.
