Weber Vetonit MD 16 Floor Screed

Floor base primer Webervetonit MD 16 is an acrylic dispersion primer for floor bases. It is used before applying floor levelers, waterproofing coatings, and tile adhesives. It significantly reduces the amount of dust, strengthens the base surface, improves the flowability and adhesion of leveling mixtures, prevents excessive rapid hardening and formation of air bubbles in materials. Suitable for all types of mineral-based bases, gypsum materials, wood, PVC, and other surfaces.

Application:

• The base to be treated must be stable, dry or slightly damp, and free from substances that weaken adhesion: debris, dust, and oils. The temperature of the base and air during application must be above +10°C.• Bases are usually primed at least twice. Before application, Webervetonit MD 16 must be diluted with water depending on the absorbency of the base. The first coat of primer should be diluted with water in a larger proportion than the second coat. The most commonly used proportions for concrete bases are 1:5 for the first coat and 1:3 for the second.• The first coat should be applied using a soft brush, making circular movements. Do not allow puddles to form. The second priming can be done no earlier than after an hour, and application is done with a roller. The drying time for the second coat is 2-4 hours. Application can also be done mechanically with a pump.
