Caparol OptiSilan TiefGrund Primer

A water-repellent special primer based on SilaCryl with deep penetration ability, suitable for interior and exterior use - this is proven with the help of a UV lamp. Suitable for leveling porous and absorbent concrete surfaces. OptiGrund ELF has a specially fine silacryl technology that penetrates the surface very deeply. Primer for leveling on porous, absorbent, easily crumbling plaster and concrete surfaces for exterior and interior use, and on plasterboard surfaces for interior use before applying dispersion, silicone resin, and polymer resin paint. Also applicable in poorly ventilated spaces without explosion-proof equipment or in spaces where food products are produced or stored.

Thanks to its fine molecular structure, OptiGrund E.L.F. penetrates deeply into the substrate and repels water. Special additives ensure the visibility of the primer even on a painted surface using a UV lamp. To achieve this, the paint layer must be scraped off and a UV lamp must be shone on the substrate. OptiGrund E.L.F. will appear as a shiny violet reflection.

Consumption: Depending on the application method, as well as the absorption capacity and properties of the substrate, determine the exact consumption between approx. 150-200 ml/m² and the dilution level by conducting a test on site.
