Details

Brown furnace-flue bricks with a retro surface are designed for the construction of the chimney top, as well as for the finishing of flues and fireplaces. They are highly durable and suitable for use in direct atmospheric conditions (snow, cold, rain).

Bricks are sold in full pallets!

Important!

    • Full finishing bricks are not suitable for stoves and other places where there is direct contact with an open flame!
    • Trust professionals with the construction of flues and fireplaces!
    • Before use, a new furnace must be properly dried (6-8 weeks). Gradually start heating the furnace over a period of 1-2 weeks.

Special information

Compressive strength = 50 N/mm2; Water absorption = 7%, Frost resistance cycles = 100, Bulk density = 2.1 g/cm3.

It is necessary to use mortar mixtures - cement/lime/sand or cement/clay/sand mixtures for the construction of flues. In these cases, the thickness of the mortar joints should be 10-12 mm.

In cases where appliances with a high efficiency coefficient are connected to the flue, i.e., the outlet temperature from the heating appliances does not exceed +40°C, these flues should be lined with a stainless steel liner of the appropriate diameter, with the possibility of collecting and draining condensate. Experience shows that failure to comply with this condition significantly reduces the service life of the flue. In other cases, it is important to ensure that the mortar joints of the flue and vertical ventilation channels are completely filled with mortar and that the inner wall surfaces are vertical and smooth. This reduces the possibility of condensation and the accumulation of soot in the flue, as well as the possibility of ignition in the case of moist firewood.

Remember that chimneys and fireplace hearths should be constructed using refractory chamotte bricks, with chamotte clay/sand mortar as the mortar. Under no circumstances should clay bricks and chamotte bricks be mixed, as these materials have different thermal expansion coefficients, which will inevitably lead to cracks in the construction of the furnace or fireplace.
