Sakret BK Bonding mortar for insulation panels 25kg

Sakret BK Adhesive mortar for thermal insulation boards is an adhesive mortar for bonding thermal insulation boards, stone wool and foam polystyrene insulation boards, a cement-based adhesive, suitable for both exterior and interior work. With additives that improve adhesion and flexibility, it is water vapor permeable, water and frost resistant. The adhesive mortar is gray in color, suitable for manual and mechanical application.

Surface preparation:

• the substrate must be dry and firm, all cracks and voids must be filled;
• clean the substrate from less durable and/or detachable layers (e.g. dirt, dust, oils, paint residues, etc.);
• especially dense and/or smooth substrates should be scraped;
• strongly water-absorbing surfaces should be primed with SAKRET BG primer or diluted SAKRET UG primer, in a ratio of 1:3.

Application:

• Mix SAKRET BK in a clean container with cold water until a homogeneous mass without lumps is formed;
• it is recommended to use a mixer with 600 revolutions per minute;
• after the maturing time, approximately 3 minutes, mix again.
• Do not dilute material that has started to harden with water!
• If the substrate is smooth, apply SAKRET BK with a notched trowel (tooth size 20mm) on the entire surface of the thermal insulation board and bond it to the substrate.
• If the substrate is uneven, apply SAKRET BK in a thick layer (approximately 5 cm wide and 2 cm high) on the edges of the thermal insulation boards and apply 6 dots of material on the surface of the boards and bond them to the substrate.
• If the thermal insulation board is made of mineral wool, first rub SAKRET BK into the surface of the board.
• To reinforce and plaster the bonded boards, we recommend using the reinforcing mortar SAKRET BAK (gray) or SAKRET KAM (white).

Note: to achieve the best thermal insulation results, we recommend using materials certified in the ETICS SAKRET EPS system (with foam polystyrene boards) or the ETICS SAKRET MW system (with mineral wool).

Additional instructions:

• Protect SAKRET BK during the hardening phase from sunlight, drafts, frost and excessively high temperatures (> +25°C);
• Technical data applies to a temperature of +23±2°C and a relative air humidity of 50±5%. Lower temperatures increase, higher temperatures decrease the given values;
• Contains cement, reacts alkaline with moisture!
• Contains soluble hexavalent chromium Cr (VI) ions ≤ 0.0002%.
