Sakret KAM Adhesive Mortar for Thermal Insulation Boards 25kg

Sakret KAM adhesive mortar for reinforcement of thermal insulation boards is intended for reinforcement and plastering of stone wool and foam polystyrene thermal insulation boards, as well as for bonding stone wool and foam polystyrene thermal insulation boards. It is white, suitable for exterior and interior work, water and frost resistant. Water vapor permeable.

Surface preparation:

• Thermal insulation boards must be firmly bonded, smooth, clean and dry;
• The base under the thermal insulation boards must be firm, dry, stable and free of cracks, with filled holes;
• Clean the base from less durable and/or detachable layers (e.g. dirt, dust, oil, paint residues, etc.);
• Especially dense and/or smooth bases should be scraped;
• Strongly water-absorbing surfaces should be primed with SAKRET BG primer or diluted SAKRET UG primer, in a ratio of 1:3.

Application:

• Mix SAKRET KAM in a clean container with cold water until a homogeneous mass without lumps is formed;
• It is recommended to use a mixer with 600 revolutions per minute;
• After the maturing time of approximately 3 minutes, mix again;
• Do not dilute material that has started to harden with water!

Reinforcement and plastering of thermal insulation boards:

• Apply SAKRET KAM in a smooth layer (up to 5mm) on the surface of the thermal insulation board, spread it with a notched trowel, embed the alkali-resistant reinforcing mesh into the mass and smooth it with a smooth trowel so that the reinforcing mesh is completely covered with SAKRET KAM.
• If the thermal insulation board is made of mineral wool, first rub SAKRET KAM into the surface of the board.
• The edges of the reinforcing mesh should overlap by 10cm;
• The reinforced surface can be covered with decorative plaster SAKRET MRP 2/3mm or SAKRET SBP 2/3mm (mineral plasters), SAKRET AP (acrylic), SAKRET SIP (silicone) after priming the reinforcing layer with SAKRET PG primer;
• If the reinforced surface is covered with colored plasters, the surface must be completely hardened and dry.

Bonding of thermal insulation boards:

• If the base is smooth, apply SAKRET KAM with a notched trowel (tooth size 20mm) on the entire surface of the thermal insulation board and bond it to the base;
• If the base is uneven, apply SAKRET BKAM on the edges of the boards in a thick layer (approximately 5 cm wide and 2 cm high) and apply 6 dots of material on the surface of the boards and bond them to the base;
• If the thermal insulation board is made of mineral wool, first rub SAKRET KAM into the surface of the board;
• To reinforce and plaster the bonded boards, it is recommended to use the reinforcing mortar SAKRET BAK (gray) or SAKRET KAM (white).

Note: to achieve the best thermal insulation results, we recommend using materials certified in the ETIGS SAKRET EPS system (with foam polystyrene boards) or ETIGS SAKRET MW system (with mineral wool).

Instructions:

• Protect SAKRET KAM from sunlight, drafts, frost and excessively high temperatures (>+25^oC) during the hardening phase;
• The technical data applies to a temperature of 23±2^oC and a relative air humidity of 50±5%. Lower temperatures increase, higher temperatures decrease the given values;
• Contains cement, reacts alkaline with moisture!
• Contains ≤ 0.0002% soluble hexavalent chromium Cr(VI) ions.
