Kiilto Kestonit Optio Self-Leveling Compound for Floors (3-20mm) 20kg

Universal self-leveling floor compound. Suitable for floors that will be painted. Can be applied with a trowel. Low alkalinity. Suitable for creating a floor leveling layer 3-20 mm thick before laying the floor covering. Not intended for leveling floor surfaces before laying mosaic parquet.

Consumption: Approx. 1.6 kg/m² (for a 1mm thick layer). One bag yields approximately 12 liters of compound.

The substrate must be clean, hard, and firm. Remove cement residue and paint splatters, thoroughly vacuum with a vacuum cleaner. Before leveling, prime the concrete base with diluted Kiilto Start Primer at a ratio of 1:4 (20% Kiilto Start Primer / 80% water). Old surfaces and tile surfaces to be repaired must be primed with undiluted Kiilto Start Primer or Kiilto PrimerOne primer before leveling. Non-absorbent surfaces, including ceramic tiles or painted surfaces, can be primed with Kiilto Fix Primer. The low alkalinity leveling layer protects the glued and vinyl coverings from damage caused by the alkaline in the concrete. Tests show that a 5mm thick leveling layer provides a protective effect.
