A fiber-containing leveling mixture that improves the elasticity and adhesion of cement-based self-leveling mixtures for heated floors. Suitable for use with hot water pipes and electric cables. Also suitable for renovating substrates before applying floor coverings. The substrate must be clean and firm. Remove cement residue, adhesive and paint splatters, and other dirt, carefully wipe the floor or vacuum it. When installing underfloor heating, ensure that the substrate is sufficiently rigid to withstand thermal fluctuations.1. Before leveling the concrete substrate, prime it with diluted Kiilto Start Primer (10-20% Kiilto Start Primer primer / 80-90% water). For heated floors, sand and clean the substrate before priming and leveling. This will ensure good adhesion. Adequate adhesion can also be achieved with a bonding layer, such as Kiilto Saneerauslaasti repair cement-based adhesive, using a trowel. Do not use primer. (Use the correct amount of water.)2. Non-absorbent substrates without underfloor heating should be primed with Kiilto Start Primer before leveling. For small (up to 10 m²) floor areas with underfloor heating, a bonding layer should be used, such as Kiilto Saneerauslaasti, using a trowel (Use the correct amount of water and do not use primer). For larger floor areas, it is recommended to remove the old floor covering and level directly on the concrete substrate.3. Stable wood and fiberboard substrates without floor heating should be primed with Kiilto Start Primer before leveling. If underfloor heating is installed on a wood or fiberboard substrate, attach a plasterboard to the wood or fiberboard substrate and then prime it with undiluted Kiilto Start Primer and level it. Adhesion between the plasterboard and the leveling mixture can be achieved with a bonding layer using Kiilto Saneerauslaasti (use the correct amount of water and do not use primer). Install underfloor heating pipes/cables according to the manufacturer's instructions on a dried base/bonding layer. Then continue leveling.
