Mapei Adesilex P4 Rapid-setting flexible tile adhesive (C2F), 20kg

Mapei tile adhesive Adesilex P4 is an improved, fast-setting, fully covering cement-based adhesive for installing ceramic tiles and stone coverings. Especially designed for large size tiles. It has a smoothing composition for walls and floors, both for concrete and old tile coverings indoors and outdoors. It can also be used for brick and concrete block masonry without joints.

The tile adhesive is an industrially made dry mixture in gray color, consisting of cement, fine aggregate, synthetic resins and additives that improve the material's performance. The recipe is developed in Mapei's scientific laboratory.

By adding water, the adhesive with the following properties is obtained:

• Partially flowing and easy to work with;
• Ensures 100% adhesion between tiles and substrate. The thickness of the adhesive layer is from 3 to 20 mm. Suitable for creating tile coverings outdoors and in areas with high loads.
• Adapts to the deformations caused by the substrate and tile covering.
• High adhesion to most building substrates.
• Quick drying, no shrinkage cracks during the drying process.
• Waterproof and resistant to salts.

PREPARATION OF THE ADHESIVE

Mix Adesilex P4 tile adhesive with 20-22 parts of water (25 kg Adesilex P4 and 5-5.5 l of water) until a uniform, homogeneous mass is obtained, without lumps. After 3 minutes, mix the adhesive again. The prepared adhesive can be stored in a closed container for 60 minutes, if the ambient temperature is +23°C and the relative humidity is 50%. If a very thick layer of adhesive is needed or if the tiles are very heavy, it is possible to add 20% of dry, fractionated sand to the adhesive to avoid the risk of crack formation during the curing of the adhesive.
