Armored polyethylene film - an intermediate layer with perforation. Used for waterproofing of sloping uninsulated roofs as a membrane with vapor permeability properties. When laying the material, 15-20 cm overlaps should be created. Waterproofing films are used to protect the building structure from adverse atmospheric factors - snow, rain, and condensation formation. Waterproofing films can be divided into two subgroups: simple waterproofing films and waterproofing films with an anti-condensation layer, also known as anti-condensation films.

Simple waterproofing films are usually armored polyethylene films, which are laid in uninsulated roofs, well-ventilated attics, and sheds. Their main task is to collect the water dripping from the roof and redirect it further to the gutters. Anti-condensation films are used in sloping, ventilated roof structures as waterproofing under roof coverings with a large amount of condensation formation. They are especially recommended for metal roofs. When laying waterproofing or anti-condensation films in roof structures, it is important to ensure that there is an air gap below and above the film. These films should never be placed tightly against insulation.
