Caparol adhesive and reinforcement mortar 186M Klebe und Spachtelmasse - Mineral, industrially prepared dry mortar for bonding and reinforcing insulation boards. Storage: In a cool, dry place, protected from frost. Protect from direct sunlight. 12 months low chromate content. If the product is stored in containers or silos, they should be completely emptied before prolonged storage (winter break). Storage time in original, sealed packaging is approximately 12 months.

Substrate preparation: The masonry, concrete or firm old surfaces must be clean, dry and have good load-bearing capacity. Remove dirt and separating substances (e.g. formwork oil) as well as protruding mortar edges. Remove damaged, loose old surfaces and textured plaster as much as possible. Level out recessed areas in the plaster and bring them to the same level as the rest of the surface. Thoroughly clean highly absorbent, crumbling or powdery surfaces to a solid substrate and prime with Sylitol-Konzentrat 111.

Application conditions: During application and drying phase, the ambient and substrate temperature must not be below +5 °C and must not exceed +30 °C. Do not apply in direct sunlight, wind, fog or high humidity conditions. In this regard, we refer to the German Association of Plastering Work Specialists' recommendation "Applying plaster in high and low temperature conditions".

Material preparation: Capatect adhesive and reinforcement mortar 186M can be prepared with any continuous operation mixer, worm pump and plastering machine, as well as manually mixed with a powerful slow-speed mixing device, adding clean, cold water until a homogeneous mass is formed. Allow it to rest for approx. 5 minutes and then mix again. If necessary, adjust the desired consistency by adding a small amount of water after this resting time. Water consumption is approx. 5-6 liters per 25 kg bag. Depending on the weather conditions, the working time for manually prepared material is approx. 2 to 2.5 hours (working time), when using a delivery device, no longer than 60 minutes. Under no circumstances dilute already hardened material with water.
