ELBI universal hydrophore for heating and water AC-2

The water temperature in the expansion tank must not exceed +99⁰C. Do not exceed the maximum working pressure and temperature of the expansion tank; ensure the system has appropriate control to prevent exceeding these parameters. Provide a suitable drainage system that prevents extensive damage in case of cracks and water leakage from the expansion tank. When installing, ensure a proper water and air drainage system. The manufacturer is not responsible for external forces (traffic, wind, earthquakes) affecting the expansion tank, so these should be evaluated before installing the tank.

Before installation, clarify the main parameters of the system. Qualified personnel should regularly check this system. The manufacturer is not responsible for any losses resulting from incorrect installation. If the maximum working pressure and temperature of the expansion tank are exceeded, the manufacturer has the right to refuse warranty claims. If different fluids are used in the system, check their compatibility. The installation site must be protected from unauthorized persons - only authorized personnel should have access to this area. The equipment must be equipped with appropriate grounding or separated from the heating system with a dielectric connection.

  1. If the hydrophore is installed in an existing system, make sure the power supply to the pump control panel is turned off and the system is completely drained or the water supply is closed. 2. If a simple pressure vessel (without a membrane) is installed in the existing system, turn off the air supply devices, level indicators, etc. 3. Remove the tank from the packaging, remove the protective cap (see Fig. 4, No. 6) from the air valve. Check the existing pressure and make sure it is slightly lower than the pressure at which the pressure switch operates. If necessary, adjust the pressure in the tank. Once done, screw the protective cap back on. 4. Install the tank as close as possible to the pressure switch to minimize pressure losses. Examples of tank installation are shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3. 5. Connect the tank to the main water supply or to the pump outlet, following all installation rules. 6. It is recommended to install a safety valve and adjust it according to the maximum working pressure of the system. 7. Connect the power supply to the pump control panel only after the tank installation is complete. 8. Turn on the pump and fill the system with water until the pressure switch operates and the pump turns off. 9. To remove air from the system, repeatedly open and close the valve farthest from the tank. 10. Open one or more faucets to empty the tank. If a pause is detected between emptying the tank and turning on the pump, either slightly increase the pressure switch activation pressure or reduce the air pressure in the pressure vessel (see point 3). 11. Repeat steps 8, 9, and 10 until this pause is no longer detected. 12. Check all connections and make sure there are no water leaks. 13. The system is ready for use if all the above points have been successfully completed. 14. Regularly check the existing pressure in the tank during its operation and fill it with air if necessary. When performing maintenance, first turn off all electrical equipment related to the system and check that there is no pressure and temperature hazardous to health in the system. Qualified personnel should check all heating system elements at least once a year. The manufacturer has already pumped air into the pressure vessel. Changes in air pressure in the expansion tank should only be made by a certified plumber. The newly set pressure should be recorded on the expansion tank.
