Details

Special adhesive tape Gerband 587 for roof underlay membranes is designed for use on all types of known sublayer membranes with closed type and slightly rough surfaces, including outdoors. It adheres very well to wood, brick, and solid concrete surfaces. It can also be used for repair work if there are small damages or cracks in the roof underlay membranes. Application temperature from -10 °C to +40 °C

Product description:

  • Carrier material
  • Special film
  • Fiber protection against excessive expansion
  • Very elastic, even in cold weather
  • Stable at temperatures up to +120 °C
  • Resistant to UV radiation

Usage:

  • Sealing of sublayer membranes and facade membranes
  • Can be used outdoors
  • Connection and sealing of overhangs, joints, and diffusion maintainers or durable roof underlay membranes (categories: USB-A, USB-B, and UDB-A, UDB-B, UDB-C).
  • Repair of roof underlay membranes

Notes on usage:

  • Application temperature from -10 °C to +40 °C
  • Store in dry rooms, at temperatures from +5 °C to +25 °C, protected from UV radiation
  • Surfaces must be free of additional supports or attachments, dry, clean, without dust and grease or any other materials that repel adhesion
  • In case of porous surfaces, treat the surface with Butyl Primer 6000 before application
  • Apply the tape without stretching and press it firmly onto the surface; stronger pressure promotes better adhesion
  • Not suitable for bonding under mechanical stress. Before applying to plastic surfaces, perform a test, as there is a risk of plasticizer migration and corrosion due to loads. For safety reasons, check the adhesion between the adhesive tape and the membrane before use.
