Controlled vapor permeability (vapor permeability coefficient Sd - 23 meters) is provided by a highly technological functional layer applied to a durable reinforcing material.

Using AirGuard® SD23 in combination with fiber insulation and Tyvek® wind insulation helps reduce heat loss and achieve a temperature-humidity balance in the rooms similar to log house indicators. A comfortable and healthy microclimate in the rooms is ensured by a small amount of vapor movement through the vapor insulation film, which does not accumulate in the thermal insulation but easily passes through the wind insulation. As a result, normal functioning of the building is ensured without ice formation in the thermal insulation material in winter and reduced moisture accumulation in the building structures in summer. Using traditional polyethylene vapor insulation materials, which practically completely trap vapor inside the building, can disrupt natural air-moisture movement and contribute to damage to building structure elements and mold formation.
