SOUDAL Windowtape Outside 100mmx25m

The tape is designed for sealing external connections of windows and doors, which will later be covered with plaster, putty or other finishing materials. Vapor impermeable tapes are colored pink (for the inner zone), while water impermeable tapes for the outer zone are white or black to reduce the possibility of errors during installation.

Installation:

Substrate: The tape is suitable for PVC, wood and metal (e.g. aluminum coated) window and door frames. The tape has excellent adhesion to the most common porous building substrates, such as concrete, plaster, bricks. The substrate must be dry, free from dust and degreased, highly porous substrates must be primed using Soudal Primer 100 or treated with aerosol adhesive Bond Seal 2080.

Attaching to the frame

• Apply a layer of adhesive tape around the front of the window frame, leaving approximately 2x5 cm of excess material in the corners for later folding and sticking to the reveal (calculate approximately +40 cm for each side)
• The tape can be applied before or after window installation in the reveal
• Stick the tape with the adhesive layer on the opposite side to the reveal. Use the appropriate adhesive if necessary
• Inject foam from the inside
• At the bottom, the tape is glued to the sill profile
• WINDOWS TAPE OUTSIDE UV+ is also suitable for puttying and plastering, as well as further reveal finishing
• For printing, it doesn't matter if the tape is puttyed or plastered. The tape can be easily processed from both sides

Tip: Create equal distances horizontally and vertically from the window frame to the reveal. This will simplify corner sealing and eliminate the need for tapes of different widths

Window installation

• Mechanically fix the window in the reveal using screws or anchors
• Moisten the gap between the window profile and the reveal with water using a sprayer, only above +5°C
• Inject installation foam. If necessary and if it interferes with further finishing, trim it with a sharp knife to the level of the window profile. Never push it back
• The recommended joint size is not less than 2 cm. Optimal is 5 - 10 cm. If it is necessary to fill larger joints, it is possible to combine installation foam with foam strips. Apply each subsequent layer after moistening the previous one
• In cases where the distance from the window profile to the reveal is less than 2 cm, it is recommended to use flexible acoustic installation foam SOUDAL FLEXI FOAM

Attaching to the reveal

• Apply a layer of adhesive to the reveal. Use a roller to press the adhesive during work
• Apply tape (cut to the required size) and adhesive to the anchors and their fixing points in the reveal
