Surface preparation:

The application process of Silk Plaster liquid wallpapers is easy. Anyone without previous experience can apply it. Before starting the application, the wall or ceiling surface must be properly prepared. The surface should be dry, clean, uniformly white without any stains. Remove old wallpapers, lime, screws, etc. If necessary, treat areas affected by mold with antiseptics, if necessary, level with putty/plaster and prime with a moisture-resistant primer. The thing is that there may be residues from old wallpapers, glue, paint, screws, putty, reinforcement in the wall, and when liquid wallpapers mix with water, due to high humidity, yellow spots or rust streaks may appear. To protect liquid wallpapers from what is in the wall and on it, we recommend using a moisture-resistant primer PUFAS LF hydrosole acrylic, undiluted with water. Applying it in 2-3 layers will provide surface protection. You can also use Aquastop primer or another moisture-resistant primer concentrate. Treat metal and wood objects (nails, screws, veneers, etc.) with oil paint. After drying, the moisture-resistant primer PUFAS LF hydrosole acrylic is transparent. To even out the color of the surface, we recommend using a white primer PUFAS or a quartz primer Super Nova (for decorative coatings) in white color. This will give the surface roughness and facilitate the application process. You can also use a white water-based paint.
