Philips Lumea Prestige is effective for various hair and skin types. It works on naturally dark blond, brown, and black hair, as well as on skin tones ranging from very fair to dark brown. IPL requires contrast between the hair color pigment and the skin tone pigment, so (like other IPL devices) Lumea cannot be used for treating white, gray, light blond, or red hair. The device is also not suitable for very dark skin.
