This is explained by the fact that a large contrast is needed between the hair color pigment and the skin tone pigment.

The built-in skin tone sensor determines the condition of the treated skin at the beginning of each procedure and sometimes during the procedure as well. If it detects a skin tone that is too dark for using this product, it will automatically stop the emission of pulses.
