Pipelife PPR pipes are tested in accordance with the DIN 8078 standard, which requires testing with a tangential pressure of 3.5 MPa for 1000 hours at a temperature of 95°C or with a test pressure of 16 MPa for 1 hour at a temperature of 20°C.
Considering that the temperature of the hot water supply is 30°C-50°C, bacterial growth, including Legionella bacteria, occurs. We recommend temporarily heating the hot water tanks to 60°C - 70°C and using PN 20 pressure series pipes for this purpose.
PP-R plastic pipes are connected by welding. If necessary, a mechanical connection with a flange or a transition fitting (DG transition) to a metal pipeline can be used. Pipes should not be glued.
