Roof ladders are durable, horizontally rungs that provide a stable surface for maintenance work on the roof, convenient and safe access to the necessary area, and ensure safe movement on the roof. The most common solution is to install a moving ladder in front of or behind the chimney to provide a stable base for chimney cleaning and to avoid the need to climb on the roof covering and damage it.

Roof ladders should be used on roofs with a slope of 1:8 (7°) or greater. If the height of the building is more than 9 meters, it is necessary to install individual protective devices (safety ropes) for attachment. Standard EN 516 provides two types of roof ladder installation: Class 1 and Class 2. A person using individual protective devices to prevent falls from height is allowed to attach only to the frame of the roof ladder that corresponds to Class 2.

Ruukki roof ladders comply with standard EN 516 and pass the static and dynamic tests required for Class 2.

The roof ladder, brackets (2 sets), and slope adjustment plates (2 sets) are sold separately. For a 3-meter roof ladder, it is recommended to use 4 brackets, accordingly, three brackets are used for a 1.4-meter ladder and two brackets for a 0.6-meter ladder.
