APPLICATION

Application conditions

During painting and drying, the air, surface and paint temperature must be above 5ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.

Preparation

The surface must be cleaned of dirt and dust. The surface must be washed with Maalipesu cleaning agent, following the instructions for use. Cavities and cracks must be filled with suitable Presto or Prestonit putty and the surface must be sanded after drying. Sanding dust must be cleaned and immediately painted with Akrostop insulation primer paint. Painting is completed with a suitable water-based finishing paint.

Application

Akrostop must be thoroughly mixed before use. Apply 1 to 2 coats with a brush, roller or sprayer.

Cleaning of tools

Tools must be cleaned with water. For cleaning hardened paint from tools, it is recommended to use Tikkurila Pensselipesu tool cleaning agent.

Surface maintenance

No earlier than 1 month after treatment: Clean the surface with a damp vacuum cleaner or cloth and a neutral (pH 6-8) cleaning agent. When mixing the solution, follow the manufacturer's instructions. The surface must not be left wet after cleaning. After treatment, the surface should be treated gently for a few weeks, as the final hardness and durability of the surface are achieved within 1 month under normal conditions. If the surface needs to be cleaned earlier, it should be lightly cleaned with a damp cloth or brush.

(cat A/g) 30g/l (2010). The maximum VOC content of Akrostop is 30g/l.
