Tikkurila Road Marking Paint

Extremely fast-drying water-borne road marking paint formulated with a special acrylic resin.

Drying time (23°C and 50% relative air humidity): Approx. 5–15 minutes (dry to drive over). The drying time is affected by factors such as the temperature, relative air humidity, air flow and thinning of the paint.

Application conditions

All surfaces must be dry before painting. During painting and drying, the temperature of the air, surface and paint must be over +5°C and the relative humidity of the air below 80%. The surface may not be more than 3 °C colder than the air. Do not paint if rain is expected.

Surface preparation

Clean the surface of sand and other loose particles as well as oil and grease.

Stir the paint well before use. Paint dries extremely fast, but it is possible to make the drying time longer by adding up to 5% water. Apply the paint with a roller, spray gun or brush. If you will apply the paint by spraying, mist the surface with a thin layer of water, because a film will quickly form on the surface of the paint in an open container. When storing opened cans, mist a little water onto the surface of the paint and close the can well.

Cleaning of tools

Clean tools with water. Tikkurila Pensselipesu (Tool Cleaner) is recommended to be used to remove a bit harden paint.

If the sprayer has been used to apply paint requiring thinner, the equipment must be cleaned with appropriate thinner very carefully. A large quantity of water must then be used to rinse out the thinner from the sprayer. Pay special attention to the cleaning of the sprayer filters.

Maintenance instructions

Dirty surfaces can be cleaned on the following day with water. Do not use detergent.
