Tikkurila Valtti Arctic Pearl Lacquer

Tikkurila paint for wood, Valtti Arctic - Pearl water-based stain for exterior wood surfaces. Contains natural oil. Protects the surface from atmospheric effects. Slows down moisture absorption in the wood. Designed for untreated or previously treated wood surfaces with transparent protective agents. Suitable for beams, sawn and planed wood surfaces, as well as wood claddings, impregnated and thermally treated surfaces, such as wooden facades, fences, garden structures. Can be tinted according to the Tikkurila Valtti Arctic color chart. The surface tone will be visible after drying. Consumption 4-8 m²/l - for sawn wood surfaces, 8-12 m²/l - for beams and planed wood surfaces.

Can be touched after 2-3 hours, can be recoated after 24 hours. Avoid mechanical impact during the first days after application, as the surface has not yet reached full hardness.

Protect from frost. Close the open container carefully. An open package of the product should be used within one work project. The properties of the product may change in a partially empty container.

The surface to be painted must be dry and the relative moisture of the wood should be below 20%. During treatment and drying, the air, surface, and product temperature should be at least +5 ºC and the relative humidity of the air should be below 80%. The best working time is in calm, cloudy, and dry weather, when the air temperature is +10-20 ºC.

To avoid possible color mismatch, mix enough tinted Valtti Arctic in one container for the entire surface. Before and periodically during use, Valtti Arctic should be thoroughly mixed.

To avoid visible overlapping areas, Valtti Arctic should be applied in a uniform layer, one or a few board lengths at a time. The ends of the product should be treated with special care. Sawn and planed surfaces should be treated with two thin layers of stain. For new untreated surfaces, a tinted product should always be used.

Monitor the condition of the surface and perform touch-up painting if the product has worn off the surface. The service life of the surface is influenced by its location, exposure to the elements, and weather conditions.

Before applying the finishing coat, check the condition of the wood material and the functionality of the beam structure.

Clean tools with soap (or appropriate cleaning agent) and rinse with water. For cleaning hardened stain, it is recommended to use Tikkurila Pensselipesu tool cleaning agent.

After treatment, handle the surface gently, as it reaches full hardness and durability under normal conditions after 4 weeks. If cleaning is necessary earlier, the surface can be easily cleaned with a soft brush, damp cloth, or broom.

Dirty surfaces can be cleaned no earlier than 1 month after treatment using Tikkurila Huoltopesu maintenance agent (1 part maintenance agent to 10 parts water). Stains and heavily soiled surfaces can be cleaned with a stronger solution of Tikkurila Huoltopesu maintenance agent (1:1). After washing, the surface should be thoroughly rinsed and dried.
