Tikkurila Valtti Primer Oil for Exterior Surfaces

Oil-based, colorless primer oil for wood surfaces. Valtti Primer penetrates into the wood, preventing the negative effects of moisture and thus also the formation of mold on the treated surface. Suitable for wood structures that will be treated with varnishes or paints (except surfaces that will be treated with oils and Swedish red paints). For the protection and priming of wood materials and structures before surface treatment. Suitable for sawn timber, planed wood, wooden products, logs, thermally treated and impregnated wood surfaces. It is recommended to apply the finishing coat as soon as possible, as the colorless primer oil does not protect the wood surface from the harmful effects of sunlight.

TECHNICAL DATA:

Color range - Colorless. Consumption: 4-5 m²/l - for sawn wood surfaces; 8-10 m²/l - for planed wood surfaces. Mixing ratio: Use undiluted. Application method: With a brush, dipping or spraying. Drying time (23°C, air relative humidity 50%): Can be touched after approx. 1/2 hour. Next coat can be painted after 24 hours. Dry residue by volume - 15%. Density - Approx. 0.8 kg/l, (ISO 2811). Storage: Store at low temperature. Cannot be stored for a long time in poorly closed or incomplete containers. APPLICATION: Application conditions: The surface to be painted must be dry during treatment and drying, air temperature at least +5ºC and air relative humidity below 80%. Preparation: Clean dirt, mold, and loose material. If necessary, use a mold removal agent Homeenpoisto or a cleaning and restoration agent Tehopesu solution, following the instructions for use. Protect other surfaces and plants from Valtti Primer splashes.

Treatment: Wood surfaces should be treated with Valtti Primer as early as possible in the construction stage. Apply with a brush, dipping or spraying. Pay special attention to the ends of the product. Apply the finishing coat as soon as possible, but no earlier than 24 hours after priming. When applying with a sprayer, protect other surfaces and plants from splashes.

Cleaning of tools: Clean tools with Vaitspiritu 1050 or Tikkurila Pensselipesu tool cleaning agent.
