The multilayer tube consists of an inner (colorless PE-Xc) and an outer (white HDPE) plastic layer, which are connected by a solid bonded aluminum intermediate layer. The metal intermediate layer provides not only gas impermeability (100% diffusion barrier), but also additional positive properties, such as maintaining a stable shape and flexibility. By bending the tube, the number of connections can be minimized and compensating loops can be created. The inner plastic layer of the tube, PE-Xc, is structured polyethylene with electron beams (no chemical reagents are used), and the tube meets all hygiene requirements specified for drinking water supply systems. The multilayer tube Wavin PE-Xc/AL/PE complies with the requirements of the EN ISO 21003 standard. Maximum operating temperature is 95°C. Maximum temporary temperature is 110°C. Maximum long-term operating pressure is 10 bar.
