Elastomeric waterproofing mastic for showers, bathrooms, and toilets weber.tec 822 - Highly elastic, liquid polymer waterproofing mastic for interior work. Contains additives that prevent mold formation, resistant to frost, elongation - approximately 310%. Colors: red and gray. Suitable for all types of mineral substrates and plasterboard. Suitable for heated substrates. Not suitable for pools and other areas that are constantly underwater.

Application:

• The substrate to be treated must be stable, dry, and free from substances that weaken adhesion: debris, dust, and oils. All substrates must be primed with deep primer Weber SAD-54. The substrate and air temperature during application must be above +5OC.• Weber.tec 822 is ready to use. Apply with a roller or soft brush.• Start the application with the treatment of joints, corners, seams, and water supply pipes. Additionally, use sealing materials that are glued with the mastic itself. The joints of the sealing materials must be made with overlap. For sealing the perimeter of wall/floor joints, use the elastic glass fiber tape Weber.vetonit FC, for internal corners Weber.vetonit IC, for external corners Weber.vetonit OC. For water supply pipes, it is recommended to use elastic fiber fabric sleeves with a waterproof rubber layer Weber.vetonit SC, for the water drain pipe (trap) - self-adhesive waterproofing sleeve Weber.tec brunnsmanschett.• After sealing critical points with Weber.tec 822, cover large surface areas. Apply the mastic in two cross layers. To visually distinguish the covered areas from the still uncovered ones, Weber.tec 822 is available in 2 colors. The first layer is usually applied in red, the second - in gray. Additionally, embed the elastic glass fiber fabric Weber.vetonit FM between the layers. The joints of the fabric must be made with overlap. If mosaic-type tiles are intended for the final covering, apply the mastic in 3 layers.• For tiling surfaces covered with Weber.tec 822, use elastic tile adhesive Weber Extra Fix. For sealing joints, use tile grout Weber.vetonit DECO. In corners, joint areas, and installation connections, apply silicone sealant Weber.color silikon.
