Knauf K5 tile adhesive Fliesenkleber is an industrially prepared thin-bed tile adhesive for bonding marble, absorbent and weakly absorbent normal format ceramic tiles, and partially translucent natural stone tiles, ceramic and glass mosaics. Suitable for walls and floors, also suitable for underfloor heating. Intended for interior and exterior use. Grouting can be done for wall tiles no earlier than 1 day after installation, and for floor tiles after 2 days. High-quality cement-based tile adhesive with reduced slip and extended setting time (complies with LVS EN 12004 requirements). The ready-to-use dry mixture must be mixed with water before use.

The substrate must be smooth, hard, free of dust, paint, and oil residues. If the surface is plastered, the plaster must be at least 10 mm thick, in one layer, and must not be smoothed.

Application: First, apply the mixed adhesive to the entire prepared surface with a trowel or putty knife to the desired thickness. Then, holding the trowel at a 90° angle, comb it with an appropriate notched trowel (the size of the notch should match the size of the tiles). Press the tiles firmly and with a slight twisting motion. If a film forms (check with your finger!), reapply the adhesive. The setting and correction time depends on the substrate and the tiles' absorbency, as well as the air temperature. Grouting can only be done after the adhesive has hardened - for wall tiles no earlier than 1 day after installation, and for floor tiles after 2 days. The underfloor heating system should be turned on in the maximum temperature mode for at least 24 hours before starting tiling. Before tiling, it should be turned off and cooled down. Full heating can be turned on no earlier than 28 days after tiling. Attention! The larger the tiles and the lower their water absorption capacity, the slower the adhesive dries.
