The BASA1 from scheppach is the band saw for demanding hobbyists and model makers who are primarily looking for precise processing of workpieces made of hard and soft wood, but also plastic or aluminum up to 100 mm in height. Because the BASA1 is equally suitable for absolutely straight cuts as well as free shapes and beautiful curves.

The workpiece is fed to the saw blade via the stable aluminum work table. For precise rip cuts, the rip fence with sight glass is used either to the left or to the right of the saw band using the quick lock. For low workpieces that do not require the maximum passage height of 100 mm, the height-adjustable saw blade guard ensures more safety.

Miter cuts up to 45° can be made using the stepless inclination of the 320 x 310 mm work table. Thanks to the angle scale, exact miter angles can be set. Locking takes place without tools via a quick-release system.

With an output of 300 watts, the induction motor of the BASA1 achieves a maximum cutting speed of 880 meters per minute with consistently smooth running - the best prerequisites for perfect cutting results.

The saw band, welded to form a circle, runs over balanced, ground band wheels with rubber bandage and a hardened precision 3-roller guide both above and below the table. This enables the saw blade to run particularly safely and evenly. With a depth of 6 - 12 mm, the saw blade is so thin that only little material is lost when sawing - ideal for sawing edges, corners and waves. The BASA1 can be equipped with all commercially available 1490 mm saw blades up to 12 mm wide.

A 100 mm suction nozzle as a connection for an external dust extraction ensures that the work area is always clean.
