The combined belt and disc sander scheppach BTS900 is the right device for a wide variety of detailed work on all types of wood and wood-like materials. Its powerful, yet smooth-running 370 watt induction motor ensures low-vibration operation. The swiveling support table and the 90 degree adjustable sanding belt enable a variety of applications.

The belt sander of the BTS900 sander can be used both horizontally and vertically to meet different needs. The angle of the sanding pad can be adjusted from 0° to +90° using an Allen key. The sanding belt, which is 915 mm long in total, runs counter-clockwise at 7.3 m/s. The 80 grit sanding belt smoothes both straight and rounded wooden surfaces. The scope of delivery includes 3 sanding belts.

The belt sander has a metal stop for more stability and higher contact pressure when sanding. This makes it easier to guide the pieces of wood over the belt sander - so even sanding results are possible. This can also be removed for longer workpieces.

The sanding disc has a diameter of 150 mm and rotates at a constant speed of 2850 rpm . The sanding paper is fixed to the sanding pad with a Velcro fastener, so it can be changed quickly if necessary. The scope of delivery already includes 3 grinding wheels for a quick start of the grinding work.

For sanding with the sanding pad, the workpiece is placed on the 215 x 145 mm work table. For effective angle processing, the aluminum work table can be tilted steplessly up to 45°. A groove runs lengthways across the work table for the supplied cross stop, with which an angle adjustment from -60° to +60° is possible. The workpiece is placed against the cross stop and guided along the sanding pad at the desired angle - for perfect angles.

Dust-free work thanks to the integrated suction socket – simply connect the suction system to the suction socket and thus prevent the entire workshop from being covered with a fine layer of sawdust powder.

All in all, the BTS900 is a compact sander for DIY enthusiasts who want to do smaller sanding jobs in straight, concave or convex shapes - with minimal effort for a clean result. With the conclusion "very good" the magazine "selbermachen" considered the BTS900 in the practical test in the 11/2019 issue.
