The scheppach HBS30 band saw is an entry-level model for hobbyists, model makers and do-it-yourselfers who want to precisely process their workpieces made of hard and soft wood, plastic or aluminum up to a height of 80 mm. A band saw can make straight cuts as well as nice curves by moving the workpiece on the work table while sawing. As a result, the band saw is significantly finer than a circular saw, but not suitable for filigree work and interior cutouts like a scroll saw.

The workpiece is fed to the saw blade via the stable work table. Two workpiece stops are used for optimal positioning and to protect your own fingers. The rip fence with quick lock is used to create precise longitudinal cuts. The cross stop or the cross cutting gauge can be used to guide a narrow piece of wood forward or to create a specific angle for a bevel cut.

The work surface has a basic size of 300 x 380 mm and can be extended to 520 mm if required. The table can also be continuously tilted by 45° using an angle scale to create miter angles of up to 45°. Locking takes place without tools via a quick-release system.

With an output of 350 watts, the induction motor of the HBS30 achieves a constant cutting speed of 900 meters per minute with smooth running at the same time - the best prerequisites for precise cutting results.

The saw band welded to form a circle allows for a greater cutting height and smoother running of the saw blade. With a width of 12 mm, the saw blade is so thin that little material is lost when sawing. Therefore, fine edges, corners and curves and precision in the millimeter range are also possible. The HBS30 can be used with all commercially available 1400 mm saw blades up to 12 mm wide.

A 40 mm suction nozzle for connecting an external dust extraction system ensures that the work area is always clean.
